This quarter we took a closer look into scientific experiments. Our fifth graders became curious scientists as we observed the factor of temperature. Take a look at our yummy experiments!!
Great Popcorn Experiment, 2010, (Citation Popcorn 2)
For this experiment, we popped separate batches of kernnels: kennels that had been in the freezer, some at room temperature, and kernnels that had been slightly heated. Students hypothesized as to how the temperature of the kernnels affected the popcorn popping. To analyze, we counted the number of unpopped kernnels. Ask your child how it turned out!!!
